RESPONSIBILITIES: This position works closely with an assigned Psychiatrist to diagnose and treat
individuals with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. This position’s responsibilities include
providing psychiatric assessment and treatment to Pathways recipients, completing psychiatric
assessments and making treatment recommendations; providing medication assessment, prescription
and reassessment; coordinating services with other Pathways professional staff, programs or agencies as
needed; and collaborating with case managers/therapist/RN/Physicians in the treatment of adults and/or
children with a severe mental illness, severe emotional disturbance or a developmental disability.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited school and current valid
license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Michigan. Experience working as Nurse Practitioner in the
mental health field is preferred.
