Position Description and Purpose:

Roskam Foods produces and packages food products with the goal of consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations for quality, safety, and wholesomeness.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that all tools and equipment used are accounted for when work is completed.
Ensure that clothing worn does not become contaminated causing possible carrying of ingredients, especially allergens, to other areas.
Ensuring the cleaning and sanitizing of tools and equipment when completed.
Must have Basic general electrical knowledge.
Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, filter changes, and visual inspections.
Assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs under the supervision of senior technicians.
Support equipment changeovers and sanitation procedures to meet food safety standards.
Document maintenance activities and report any irregularities or safety concerns.
Follow all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and PPE compliance.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance work areas.
Must have strong working relationships with plant personnel.
Other duties as identified or assigned By Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
Equipment Exposure: Technicians will be trained to assist with maintenance on:
Conveyors - belt tracking, roller checks, and cleaning.
Ovens and Freezers - temperature monitoring, gasket checks, and airflow inspections.
Baggers, Scales, and Wrappers - sensor cleaning, jam clearing, and basic calibration.
Pumps, Motors, and Gearboxes - lubrication and seal checks, and Replacement.
Compressors and Ammonia Systems - assist with inspections and log readings.
Packaging and Palletizing Equipment - support changeovers and minor adjustments.
