About the Position
A well-established equipment rental company in Marquette County is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and customer-focused Manager to join our team. This role oversees day-to-day operations, supports customers, manages inventory, and ensures smooth workflow during both our busy and slow seasons. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working with both people and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the rental business, ensuring excellent customer service
- Provide in-person and phone support to customers in a professional, friendly manner
- Perform sales outreach during winter months (phone and in-person)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with handling rental equipment, including learning to operate basic small equipment
- Manage inventory, contracts, and invoices
- Utilize QuickBooks, Excel, and Word for administrative and financial tasks
- Multitask effectively during high-traffic periods and work independently during slower winter months
- Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs
- Work overtime when business needs require
- Drive company vehicles as needed
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
- Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
- Clean driving record
- Outgoing, dependable, and able to work well with others
- Willingness to learn operation of small equipment
- Ability to work in both fast-paced and slow-paced environments
- Chauffeur’s license is a plus (or willingness to obtain one)
