Position Description and Purpose:

Key Essential Functions/Duties:
Payroll Support: complete required preparation tasks to ensure the smooth processing of weekly payroll. Collaborate with the payroll department when necessary to resolve discrepancies and provide support to the employees and leadership when questions arrive on payroll items.
Timekeeping/Attendance support: complete required tasks within timekeeping and attendance systems.
HR Record Keeping: Maintain and update employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection regulations.
Recruitment Assistance: Assist in the recruitment process by scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communication.
Compliance: Ensure that HR practices and procedures adhere to relevant labor laws and regulations. Assist with compliance reporting and audits as requested.
Training and Development: Help coordinate training programs. Maintain training records and monitor training completion.
Employee Relations: Handle basic employee inquiries and concerns, escalating more complex issues to the People Operations Manager or Generalist as necessary.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare HR-related reports, presentations, and documents as requested by HR management or other departments.
HR Communication: Assist in the distribution of HR policies, notices, and updates to employees. Promote HR initiatives and events.
HR Software and Systems: Utilize HR software and systems for data entry, reporting, and record-keeping. Ensure data accuracy and troubleshoot system issues.
Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field required OR actively pursuing degree.
Able to interact with employees and be perceived as an approachable and knowledgeable resource
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws is a plus.
