Job Summary: The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for shipping, receiving and Line Driver personnel. They will ensure that the inventory is maintained accurately through monitoring of daily warehouse activities. Ensuring that the production lines are stocked. Core Responsibilities: * Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: * Responsible for training and monitoring performance of warehouse logistics employees. * Will provide clear performance expectations and accountability to meet on-time delivery, receiving requirements and delivery of materials through plant. * Ensuring Lines are staffed accordingly with a line driver, monitoring back flush levels, etc. * Ensure department operation metrics are established and delivered. * Ensure the Logistics staff understands the expectation for meeting performance standards. * Ensure that all HFS corporate programs and best practices are implemented. Required Competencies & Knowledge: Knowledge of: * Procurement, products, and production processes. * SAP or other WMS/ERP systems. Skilled in: * Must have strong experience working with SAP/ERP/WMS & JIT applications in a fast-paced environment. * Experience in an ISO or World Class Manufacturing standards organization a plus. Ability to: * Shipping, receiving, inventory control, purchasing and materials management principles are required. * Strong leadership ability. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, leadership strength and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Proficiency in: MS Office Suite, WMS or SAP. Work Environment: * Work is 70% on the floor and 30% in the office. * Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature. Minimum Qualifications: * Highschool diploma * 4+ years supervisory experience leading a logistics or distribution department accountable for shipping, receiving, and inventory management in the Food Industry or manufacturing environment. #LI-Onsite #LI-TS1
