Seneca Foods Corporation's Hart, MI facility is currently seeking a Sorter/General Labor candidate to join our team. The Hart facility focuses on primarilyproducing quality products, which include Maraschino Cherries, Glace Fruit, and Ingredient Cherries.

Responsibilities:
Discard or reject product not meeting specifications
Inspect, weigh, or measure materials and products for conformance to specifications
Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems
Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions
Grade and sort products according to sizes, weights, colors, or other specifications
Inspect glass at light box inspection station
Weigh product containers to verify packaging weights and ingredient quantities
Push stems down with two fingers into jar before syrup filling
Place tamper resistant shrouds onto individual containers prior to heat shrink
Attach plastic lids to container
Form, tape, and line cases by hand for finished product packaging
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Internal GMP/HACCP/BRC Training
Trained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
Must pass respiratory fitness test
Wage is $18.83 per hour.
