Pay: $17/hr
Scope of Position
Follow processes, procedures, and systems for ensuring that the customer is provided with a product that meets or exceeds the customer demand and expectations.
Essential Functions
Load/Wash Area
- Load product to maximize line density, minimize hanger contact points, and assure product is positioned to receive pretreatment spray and accessibility for powder application.
- Maintain inventory of PEM chemicals and area consumables.
- Ensure all stages of the wash process are completed for each cell.
- High pressure wash using GX Clean 5180
- High pressure rinse
- Apply final coat using Duralink 450
- Must assure the parts are clean after the wash process
- Perform operator level maintenance.
- Assist in maintaining proper hook maintenance
- Must wear and maintain the proper PPE
Application/Oven Area
- Apply powder to product per customer specifications
- Understand documents in the cell envelope
- Properly clean the booth for color changes
- Make sure ground cable is hooked to the product/cell
- Must wear and maintain the proper PPE
- Maintain inventory of powder and area consumables.
- Document line activity; cycles, oven temp, colors, delays.
- Oversee application booth operation and perform operator level maintenance.
- Oversee curing oven operation and perform operator level maintenance.
Unload/Packaging Area
- Unload and package product following company procedures and/or to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain inventory of packaging supplies and area consumables.
- Conduct and document powder coat quality control tests.
- Understand documents in the cell envelope
- Must wear and maintain the proper PPE
- Use packaging sheet for number of layers of packed and pcs. per layer
- Participate in tagging and labeling product for shipping.
- Perform operator level maintenance.
Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Basic understanding of quality systems and requirements.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Good basic math skills.
- Ability to read blue prints.
- Working knowledge of personal computer.
- 1-3 years experience in an industrial environment.
