Our partner in Litchfield, MI is need of Welders to add to their team!
Shift: 1st and 2nd shift available
Pay: 1st shift $20/hr based on experience, 2nd shift $20/hr + $1 shift premium based on experience.
Required: Resume and interview. Also, you will need to supply your own equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Reading blueprints and drawings
- Taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Determine appropriate welding equipment or method depending on
requirements
- Setting up components for welding according to specifications
- Operate angle grinders
- Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
- Assuring ALL parts are quality made and bought off by the quality dept.
- Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a welder (1-2 years)
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG,
TIG, etc.)
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (calipers, saws, squares, etc.)
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to wear protective
equipment (hood, sleeves, gloves, etc.)
- OUTSTANDING ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS A MUST
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs
- Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted
