Job Opportunity
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inspection Technician for the Sheet Metal department on the day shift in Roseville, MI. You will support prototype and production operations in a manufacturing facility by performing precision inspections of sheet metal components. This is a contract position with the opportunity for direct hire after 6 months.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect sheet metal parts and assemblies to verify conformance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform buy-off inspections for internal release and customer acceptance.
- Operate and maintain blue light scanning equipment
- Apply GD&T principles to evaluate and document critical dimensions and tolerances.
- Accurately document inspection results and generate inspection reports.
- Assist in maintaining inspection equipment and ensuring calibration standards are met.
- Support process improvements and contribute to the overall quality goals of the sheet metal department.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of inspection experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in GD&T and capable of reading blueprints, and interpreting complex technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with Keyence VL-700 or similar blue light 3D scanning equipment.
- Familiarity with inspection and measurement techniques for sheet metal parts (bent, formed, welded, etc.).
- Ability to use standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
- Familiar with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
