Job Title: Accounting Intern
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
The Accounting Intern is responsible for assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records. They will shadow members of the accounting department to gain work experience while finishing schooling. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn how to work as part of the accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company.
- Monitor any discrepancies in payment.
- Monitor for charges made and record any returns.
- Organize financial filing system that is easily accessible.
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements, making sure that the final figures are correct.
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of accounting systems and their specifications.
- Proficient verbal and written skills
- Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Working towards Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently sit for extended periods of time
- Occasionally stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
- Requires employee to occasionally work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
- Occasionally required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
- Occasionally lift 30 pounds
