What you can expect to work on…
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for performing all duties related to the daily operations of onsite warehousing, which includes receiving, stocking, picking, inventory control and shipping of production materials, chemical reagents, MRO items/equipment, and consumable supplies. Maintain a safe and cGMP compliant operating environment ensuring accurate real time inventory and order fulfillment.
- Support daily operations with the receiving, pick, pack, and shipping processes; ensure compliance with applicable procedures and regulations throughout operations
- Conduct inventory cycle counts according to specified frequency to ensure accurate inventory; investigate discrepancies and incorporate corrective actions
- Document all activities in a manner that is compliant with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and all FDA/ISO regulations
- Determine proper delivery location for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Non-GMP packages and ensure they are maintained in the appropriate storage conditions
- Maintain warehouse safety by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), cleaning requirements, and handling hazardous waste appropriately
What you need to succeed…

- High school diploma or GED
- 3 – 5 years of related warehouse experience
- Knowledge and experience with hazardous/non-hazardous labeling standards and practices
- Trained forklift operator
- Valid driver’s license with clean MVR record
- Experience handling critical temperature material in accordance with SOPs
- Exceptional technology skills – you find working with any software very comfortable and you easily adapt to new products; highly efficient with MS Office products and WMS software
- Knowledge and experience with hazardous/non-hazardous labeling standards and practices
- Understands how to integrate into a new team/organization – appreciates the history of current state, know how and when to make suggestions, as well as using just the right pace to reach the improved future state
- Understands your own communication and learning styles, can assess others’ styles, and is able to find the right path to best connect with colleagues
Great to have…
- Associate’s degree in business or equivalent combination of work experience
- 3 years’ experience in cGMP shipping/receiving warehouse environment
- Experience working in a Lean WHSE environment – 5S, KANBAN, JIT, Kaizen, WHSE automation
- Experience with radioactive materials
- 5+ years’ experience with documented experience in the shipping/receiving warehouse industry
- Dangerous Goods certification/ IATA / DOT Training
- Knowledge of ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, 21 CFR 210/211 or Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations
Other things to know…
- Full-time position
- The company’s standard operating hours are Monday thru Friday 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with production related activities requiring 24/7/365 shifts
- This position will have regular working hours Monday-Friday with an expectation of adjusting to meeting the shift work requirements for production and to meet with staff working outside of the standards operating hours
- Niowave has multiple locations within the Lansing area and travel between locations is expected in the role
