Summary of Position
This position is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department/Claims in tracking vehicle crashes, workers’ compensation and unemployment, as well as assisting in the processing of claims.
CLAIMS SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain files for all claims (crashes, workers’ compensation, unemployment).
- Assisting in the processing of claims for the above areas.
- Willingness to expand knowledge and assigned roles by attending seminars and trainings as determined.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Travel to various Dean Operation’s sites throughout the state may occasionally be required (company vehicle provided).
Requirements
DEAN SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass criminal background check and have favorable reference checks.
- Must possess a valid Michigan Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Human Resources experience required, prior experience with the above areas preferred.
- High School Diploma required, college degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Adobe.
- Demonstrate an excellent attendance record.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills (internal and external).
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work independently with attention to detail.
- Demonstrate effective and efficient problem solving.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
