Essential Duties

MFCU is looking for a Member Service Representative who is Trustworthy, Caring, and Enthusiastic in:

Receiving and processing member transactions including, but not limited to: cash and check processes, deposits, transfers, and loan payments

Assisting members with account maintenance and changes

Collaborating with branch staff to cross-sell and increase member share of wallet

Ensuring security and compliance procedures are followed in all transactions
Schedule Note:
This position is in-branch and office-based. Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., with Saturday business hours as scheduled. Occasional after-hours attendance may be required for meetings or training.
Credential Requirement:
Must obtain the Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation through America’s Credit Unions within the first year of service with M1.
Duties and Responsibilities

Create opportunities for expanded member relationships by identifying product and service needs

Remind delinquent members that their payments are due

Maintain sales and service performance expectations

Accurately process cash and check transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments

Input CTR (Currency Transaction Report) data and submit to BSA Compliance Officer

Handle inquiries on member accounts, statements, and histories

Process check orders and issue cashier’s checks, money orders, and gift/travel cards

Collect appropriate service fees

Answer phones, process mail, and assist with clerical tasks

Actively participate in monthly coaching and staff development

Education and Experience

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Experience operating a personal computer

Ability to communicate clearly with members and staff

Good working knowledge of credit union products and services

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to learn credit union systems, procedures, and policies
Note: Education and experience requirements may be waived for Co-Op students.
