Grandvue Medical Care Facility is seeking an experienced and dedicated CDM-certified Food and Nutrition Services Director (FNSD) to lead our dietary department and ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and resident-centered food and nutrition services.
This leadership role is responsible for the overall management of food service operations, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and Resident satisfaction in a long-term care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all food and nutrition services for the facility.
- Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian and interdisciplinary care team to implement individualized Resident meal plans.
- Ensure compliance with therapeutic diets, texture modifications, and food safety standards.
- Oversee meal preparation, service, quality, and presentation.
- Monitor Resident satisfaction and implement continuous improvements.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise dietary staff.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state dietary regulations (including HACCP standards).
- Manage department budget, inventory, and cost controls.
- Prepare for and participate in regulatory surveys and audits.
Qualifications:
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) – current certification required.
- Supervisory experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and resident-centered care principles.
- Experience with menu planning systems, electronic health records, and Microsoft Office.
- Budget management and cost-control experience preferred.
