Signature Research, Inc. seeks an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their team in Calumet, Michigan.
If you like working with your hands, take pride in clean welds, and enjoy being in a well-equipped shop, this could be a great fit. We’re looking for someone who enjoys figuring things out, cares about doing quality work, and likes being part of a team that builds things the right way.
This role is a good match for someone who’s comfortable reading drawings or models, and seeing a fabricated part through from start to finish.
WHAT WE OFFER.
- $25 – $30 per hour starting pay based on your knowledge and experience.

- Full-time, Monday – Friday position generally working 8am – 4pm.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Read and interpret drawings and/or 3D models to build fabricated components.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel and aluminum.
- Use a wide range of shop equipment including hand and power tools, band saws, grinders, chop saws, drills/drill press, and metal brakes.
- Measure, fit, weld, and finish parts with attention to detail and quality.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to meet project goals and deadlines.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- 1 or more years experience with MIG/TIG welding (steel and aluminum).
- Ability to read drawings and/or models and translate them into finished parts.
- Comfortable using common fabrication shop equipment and tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of normal job duties.
- AWS welding certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in your craft.
- U.S. citizenship required, along with the ability to obtain (and maintain) a security clearance. Don’t have clearance? No problem—we’ll help you through the process.
