Operations Manager

Summary:
Our client is a well-established prototype sheet metal manufacturer with 17 years in operation, serving the military, aerospace, and automotive industries. We are seeking an experienced individual to take over day-to-day operations as the owner transitions to a reduced role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, direct, and schedule a team of 5 employees , ensuring productivity and accountability.
- Assign daily tasks, provide clear directions to staff and coordinate daily workflow to keep operations running smoothly
- Manage all shipping and receiving operations
- Prepare shipping documents and customer invoices using QuickBooks
- Set up and manage FedEx and trucking shipments
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and carriers as needed
- Work within an ERP system to manage orders, inventory, and job tracking
- Source and coordinate outside services, including paint, heat treat, and other subcontracted processes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in operations management within manufacturing or shop environments
- Familiarity with either military, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing processes
- Proven ability to lead, direct, and motivate staff
- Proficiency with QuickBooks
- Experience working with an ERP system
- Knowledge of logistics, shipping, and freight coordination
- Military shipping knowledge (CMMC knowledge) is strongly preferred
