We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our team in Dexter, MI. This role is available for both day and night shifts and requires a person who is quality conscious, mechanically inclined, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. A good attendance record, initiative, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this position.
Shifts Available:
- Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
Note: Must be available to work overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC machines to produce quality parts and maintain production levels.
- Diagnose mechanical difficulties and perform troubleshooting as needed.
- Conduct basic cleaning, oiling, and general maintenance of CNC machines and inspection boxes.
- Continuously stock machines with required production materials.
- Change tools, drills, and inserts in the machine as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Utilize micrometers (o.d. mics, i.d. mics, calipers) for precise measurements.
- Lift 50 lbs. or more as required.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-year prior CNC experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Proficiency in using micrometers and other precision measuring tools.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Preferred experience running Tsugami Swiss type CNC's
