Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) Product Manager
The ARV Product Manager is a leadership position with direct reports that is responsible for engineering execution of ARV. The individual is accountable for cost, schedule, and technical performance of the engineering scope on ARV. In support of this portfolio, the selected candidate will lead and manage a team of engineers that operate in roles of project leads, chief/deputy chief engineers and IPT leads. This manager must have strong job knowledge and working relationships within manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, and quality. The manager and his/her team will interface directly and work regularly with the internal Program Management Office (PMO) and other process centers.
Responsibilities:
Responsible forEngineering Performance of ARV scope
Cost/Schedule/Technical/Risk Management
Leadprocess center activities in support oftheProgramDirector
Train and develop direct employees that report to the individual
Review and approve all engineering ARV bids
Prepare andmaintainproject plans
Develop engineering inputs to support program requirements
Interact with the customer as theengineeringface to the customer and represent engineering in customer interactions
OverseeIntegrated Product Team (IPT) leaders and/orControl Account Managers (CAMs) / Project Leadsspecific areas of theproject cost, schedule and performance asrequired
Work with the cross-functionalProcess Centerleadsas required by the ProgramDirector
Analyze performance,statusand progress reports todeterminemanagement actions (corrective or preventive) and to ensure program performance
Lead temporary endeavors undertaken to create unique products, services, deliverables, or outcomes.Coordinate across process centers as needed
Requirements
Minimum of Bachelors degree in Engineering or (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems preferred but other degrees will be considered with relevant experience).
MBA/MS a plus
A minimum of10 yearsof relevant work experience
Project Management experience required
Proven ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships
Demonstrated ability to form and lead teams
Experience in leading design, development and integration of complex systems
Proven leadership skills and competencies
Ability to assess technical risk and develop corrective actions and/or mitigation plans
Must have excellent analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
Must have strong oral and written communication skills
Must have excellent business acumen and negotiating skills
Ability to travel as needed
Additional Information:
This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
