This project will involve generating and testing brain-penetrant antibody-nucleic acid conjugates for reducing gene expression in the brain after intravenous administration. The goal is to prevent pathology in mouse models of neurodegenerative disease using a noninvasive, antibody-based technology.
The responsibilities will include cloning and producing bispecific antibodies, conjugating nucleic acids, and testing their pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in vivo. In addition, the duties will also include testing the ability of the antibody-nucleic acid conjugates to prevent pathology in mouse models of neurodegenerative diseases.
Molecular biology cloning of proteins and/or antibodies, protein expression and purification, and some animal handling experience.
Experience performing pharmacokinetic analysis of antibody or other protein therapeutics.
