Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing team in Fairview. In this role, you will provide high-quality, hands-on care to residents in a supportive, team-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, colostomy care, ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion support.
- Follow individualized care plans, reporting observations and changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
- Ensure residents’ dignity, privacy, and comfort are prioritized in all aspects of care.
- Support residents’ rights, reporting any concerns of abuse, neglect, or restraint use immediately.
- Protect residents’ personal belongings and assist in locating lost items.
- Promote skin integrity by preventing pressure ulcers, turning and repositioning residents, and applying skin care as directed.
- Respond promptly and courteously to call lights and resident needs.
- Assist with vital signs, weight checks, specimen collection, and application of creams/ointments.
- Accurately complete CNA documentation according to policy.
- Follow infection control and safety procedures, including proper hand hygiene, glove use, and disposal of soiled materials.
- Welcome and orient new residents and families to the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant license in the State of Michigan.
- Minimum of 6 months CNA experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to compassionate care.
Schedule and Compensation
- Schedule: Full-time (Night Shift), 12-hour shifts.
- Weekends: Every-other-weekend rotation required.
- Pay Rate: $20.40–$22.00 /hour based on licensure.
