Under the direction of the Foundation Director, the Scholarships and Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing the functions related to both the Foundation and College scholarship awards by soliciting and advertising scholarships to prospective applicants, soliciting and training volunteers for scholarship application review, monitoring and auditing the application system, and ensuring clear and consistent communication with all applicants. Access, review, and analyze student information and applicant information to exercise professional judgment to determine scholarship eligibility and to ensure compliance with all aspects of donor and Foundation scholarship agreements. Leads the development of the Foundation's annual budget. Explores grant opportunities and leads the application process for the Foundation, coordinating with the LCC Grants department.
Under the supervision of the Foundation Director, serves as the liaison to the Board of Directors, Finance Advisory, and Executive committees. The individual will be a member of the college-wide scholarship team and be able to serve as the college-wide expert for scholarship processes and policies of the Foundation.
Maintains a high level of communication with donors, prospects, parents, students, volunteers, and LCC staff. Utilize knowledge of fundraising skills to maintain a portfolio of donors and prospects, including the cultivation and solicitation of new donors. Uses Moves Management techniques to resolicit and retain annual scholarship donors. Collaborates with Foundation staff to lead, plan, and host events. Participate with the Foundation staff in creating new resources that will support LCC students, Foundation donors, and college programs.
