Mechanical Integration Engineer - Weapon Systems Sterling Heights, MI $63.56-$68.56/Hour Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Secret Clearance Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. Responsibilities: * Design mechanical components, subsystems, and assemblies to meet system-level and Human Factors Engineering (HFE) requirements (articulating, locking, sliding provisions) * Perform preliminary design, CAD modeling (CREO preferred), tolerance stack-up analysis, and GD&T interpretation * Create and release detailed part and installation drawings in support of concurrent engineering efforts * Collaborate with Design Services to develop models, layouts, and manufacturing documentation * Support prototype builds, integration activities, procurement efforts, and on-site issue resolution * Participate in failure analysis and lead technical direction for design modifications and corrective actions * Work cross-functionally with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure design compatibility and functionality * Utilize Teamcenter or similar PLM systems to manage design data and release processes * Write and review technical reports, design documentation, and modification instructions * Travel to military installations or production sites as needed Qualifications: * US Citizenship is required * Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance * Education: * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering (with relevant mechanical systems experience) * Experience: * 7+ years of professional experience in mechanical design or integration roles * Hands-on experience with CAD modeling software (CREO preferred) * Experience designing weapons systems, gun/turret drives, racerings, or similar ground combat vehicle hardware * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, perform tolerance stack-ups, and apply GD&T principles * Experience supporting hardware builds, integration, and supplier/manufacturing teams * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Preferred Qualifications: * Prior experience with Ground Combat Vehicles (Army, DoD, or defense contractor platforms) * Experience with Teamcenter or other PLM systems * Familiarity with FEA tools such as ANSA, Nastran, or LS-DYNA * Experience performing failure analysis and driving corrective action * Demonstrated ability to work across multiple environments: office, shop floor, test lab, and test site * Willingness to work occasional weekends, evenings, or overtime, as required * Ability to travel domestically to support builds or test events Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is an AA/EEO/Veterans/Disabled Employer.
