The Maternal Child Health (MCH) Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Maternal Child and Health Program under the general direction of the Public Health Director or designee. The role ensures that all aspects of the MCH programs are delivered in compliance with federal and state policies, procedures, and standards. The MCH Supervisor leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of program operations, supervises
program staff, and provides leadership in quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts. Additionally, the
Supervisor coordinates a wide range of maternal child health services, acting as a liaison to reduce service duplication both within the department and the community.
The MCH Supervisor remains current on program regulations and best practices, representing Public Health at state and community meetings, coalitions, and task forces. In the event of a public health emergency, the employee may be assigned specialized duties or emergency response roles within or outside of Muskegon County. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.
