Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- Advanced troubleshooting of conveyors, ovens, freezers, baggers, wrappers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and ammonia systems.
- Calibration and diagnostics of packaging and palletizing equipment.
- Support for utilities systems, including compressed air and refrigeration.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic computer literacy.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and operate in hot/cold environments.
Preferred:
- Completion of Level I Maintenance Technician training or equivalent.
- Technical certification or coursework in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field.
- Forklift and scissor lift certification.
- Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and SQF standards.
Development Path:
This role is part of the Maintenance Journeyman Program and prepares candidates for advancement to Maintenance Technician III or Specialist roles through:
- Advanced coursework (e.g., PLCs, automation, refrigeration).
- Leadership training and project assignments.
