Digital Marketing
- Define and create audience segments in Education Cloud and Data Cloud to activate in Marketing Cloud and connected advertising platforms.
- Develop, deliver, and monitor marketing email campaigns using Salesforce Data, Marketing, and Education Clouds, in partnership with marketing specialists and cross-functional teams.
- Design and maintain marketing automations within Marketing Cloud, including triggers, journeys, and personalized content in Marketing Cloud, mapping customer/learner touchpoints and supporting team goals.
- Drive the process for creation and maintenance of email templates, content blocks, and branded communication assets for consistency and scalability within Marketing Cloud Content builder, using HTML and CSS and design resources where needed.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics, generating insights and recommendations to optimize digital marketing strategy.
- Assist the marketing event specialist in Blackthorn event management tool within Salesforce, including registration workflows, integrations with marketing journeys, and user support.
- Integrate event data from Blackthorn into targeted digital marketing campaigns, leveraging event insights for personalized outreach and communication.
- Maintain knowledge of best practices in Salesforce, multi-channel digital marketing in Marketing Cloud, and other areas.
Salesforce & Marketing Cloud Administration
- Document workflow processes, collaborate with business users to identify process improvements, and lead training on the Salesforce suite for Marketing & Market Strategy team members.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Salesforce Marketing Cloud, providing technical support and troubleshooting.
- Collect feedback and information regarding potential system enhancement needs, prioritizing updates and resolving gaps, often with the help of U-M Information and Technology Services (ITS).
- Ensure adherence to university policies, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, FERPA), and Salesforce best practices for managing member data.

- At least 5 years of professional experience in CRM implementation and administration, email journeys and marketing, or a combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years experience within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Prefer experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce Education Cloud, or any combination thereof, for customer acquisition or enrollment and events use cases.
Salary Information
The general salary range for this position is $82,000 - $88,000. Candidates can expect to be paid a competitive and equitable salary. Factors used to determine salary include education level, experience, knowledge and skills for the position and salaries that are currently established within the unit. All candidates are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor alignment and transparency throughout the recruiting process.

The salary for this position will be based upon the selected candidate's education and experience.
