Dr. Stanley W. Gresham is seeking applicants to fill Dental Assistant vacancies.

No experience is necessary.  We will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Provide chairside assistance to Dr. during dental procedures.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operations according to clinic protocols.
• Handle and dispose of infectious and hazardous waste according to clinic protocols.
• Accurately chart results of oral exams, as instructed by Dr.
• Set up and clean up materials and equipment needed for dental procedures.
• Take blood pressures and record them in a chart.
• Greet and seat patients from the waiting room to dental operatories and review reasons for patient's visit.
• Interact with patients, gather information and explain dental procedures.
• Prepare the patient and the operatory for treatment, including updating the patient chart, preparing
  instruments, etc.
• Monitor nitrous oxide analgesic.
• Answer phone calls, confirm appointments as needed, and schedule appointments.
• Collect payments.
• Prepare patients for procedures, taking x-rays.
• Answer all questions and educate patients.

Dental Skills:

• Ability to take instructions
• Professional bedside manner
• Familiarity with dental tools and treatments
• Willingness to learn Dentrix Dental Software
• Current knowledge of the latest HIPAA, OSHA and CDC regulations and guidelines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dental clinic
