As a Product Engineer, you will lead validation and product development activities, ensuring quality, compliance, and performance from concept through launch.
Hours & Pay
Pay Rate: $46.06 per hour
Schedule: Hybrid - 4 days per week in-office, flexible remote options available

Key Responsibilities
Manage Design Verification Plans (DVP) per GPDS VPP timing, including milestone identification and test classification
Ensure component and system CAE (Electrical and Mechanical) are complete for DV audits
Generate DVPs using inputs from Design & Release engineers, benchmarking, and field/warranty data
Lead DV testing activities with internal teams and suppliers, including cost estimation, prototype testing, and validation plans
Track closure of DVs, ensuring Technical Design Reviews (TDRs) and associated documentation are complete
Execute Harness Complexity Analysis (HCA) using Falcon and maintain records in WERS
Support PV (Production Validation) and durability testing, including on-site evaluations at manufacturing and assembly plants
Raise and resolve issues per DVP reviews for non-compliant items
Maintain and review VOME SCCAF, supplier SCCAF, DFMEA, and Change Point Analysis Worksheets (CPAW)
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to review quality history, track lessons learned, and support Campaign Prevent events
Apply Six Sigma and 8D problem-solving methodologies to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field
5-10 years of experience in wiring harness design and vehicle launch
Proficiency in basic 3D CAD (3DX preferred; CATIA or TeamCenter acceptable)
Knowledge of Ford GPDS standards, automotive PPAP process, and feature partitioning
Strong automotive engineering knowledge, particularly in wiring harness systems
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred:
Master's degree in engineering
Experience with wiring harness manufacturing, PFMEA, control plans, and line flow charts
Component testing experience (bench, dyno, vehicle)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
Time and project management experience
Knowledge of AI tools for engineering applications
