Responsible for maintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order.
Processing a wide arrary of painting including thin and thick brucshes, airbrushes, rollers, and removing previous paint surfaces using masking or other duties.
Essential Functions:
· Set up blast pot and nozzle equipment
· Sandblast surfaces or remove rust as necessary
· Cleaning surfaces prior to layering paint
· Maintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order
· Safely disposing of chemical waste
· Ensuring that safety standards are met
· Utilizing special safety techniques based on the nature of the surface
· Using thickness gauges to measure the thickness of paint
· Removing previous paint-surfaces using masking or a chemical rinse
· Painting small items and doing touch-ups
· Ensuring proper ventilation after the paint is applied
· Able to follow technical documents to properly mix, induce, and finish paints
