Mixed Age Teacher Aide (GSRP, 3 Year Old Preschool and Mixed Age)

Job Summary:
Works in collaboration with other child care staff to ensure direct care to children.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborates with colleagues to provide direct care to children at a ratio set by licensing standards.
- Direct care includes: supervision, academics, physical/mental well-being, social skills, and self-care skills.
- Assists in curriculum implementation and daily classroom activities with children.
- Collects anecdotal notes as instructed by curriculum.
- Collects data for behavior plans as necessary.
- Maintains physical safety of children and of the classroom environment and within the school.
- Ensured proper supervision of unstructured free play and structured activities in and out of the classroom.
- Performs regular cleaning duties as needed in classroom and center.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Attends all professional development opportunities that are required and maintains training requirements by MiLeap.

Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Preferred CDA-Preschool credential.
- Preferred Preschool or Child care experience.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
- Must complete 24 hours of annual professional development hours per MiLeap.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with district staff and the public.
- Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, and exercise good judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
