Overview:
Responsible for the design, development, release, and quality assurance of next generation 48V Lighting Driver Modules (LDMs). This role involves hands-on engineering from concept through launch and warranty, requiring strong cross-functional collaboration and technical expertise in automotive electronics systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support design, development, and validation of LDM components.
Conduct design reviews with internal teams and suppliers; ensure regulatory and certification compliance (FMVSS, ECE, RF, homologation).
Create and execute Design Verification Plans (bench, HIL, vehicle-level) and track issues via FEDE, JIRA, and program tools.
Manage component and system releases, supporting documentation such as Netcom Message List, ARXML, Device Transmittal, VSCS, ED&T, Mountain Charts, and ESOW.
Support vehicle program launches, issue resolution, and interface compatibility with IVI, Body Exterior, Vehicle Operations, and other teams.
Travel to supplier sites and assembly plants for design reviews, APQP, PPAP approvals, and launch readiness.
Maintain warranty dashboards, conduct analyses, and support continuous improvement efforts with suppliers and quality teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
2+ years in automotive electrical system design, validation, or testing (hardware, software, or systems engineering).
Experience in product, release, quality, and systems engineering principles.
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's preferred).
Preferred Experience:
Vehicle network tools (e.g., CANalyzer).
48V electrical system development or testing.
