Hybrid Admin & Conservation Specialist – Full Time

About the Role
Hiawatha Sportsman’s Club is seeking a dedicated Hybrid Admin & Conservation Specialist who is passionate about the outdoors and natural resource conservation. This unique role combines administrative responsibilities with hands-on conservation work across our 35,000-acre property.
You’ll play a key role in managing timber, carbon credits, wildlife habitat, trails, water systems, and gate operations, while also supporting office operations and delivering exceptional service to members, guests, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Board of Governors and Club Manager to set conservation goals and overcome project challenges
- Coordinate development of lakes, streams, and hunting lands
- Promote sportsmanship and clean, wholesome recreation
- Develop and implement annual forestry and carbon credit strategies
- Prepare reports and assist the Club Manager with operational needs
- Research and apply for natural resource-related grants
- Support committees including Natural Resource, Fish/Game/Fowl, Range, Watershed, and Activities
- Perform administrative duties, including POS transactions and software support (Jonas)
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to members and guests
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a strong focus on Natural Resource Conservation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with POS systems and digital file organization
- Strong ethical standards and ability to follow policies and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups
- Ability to follow oral, written, and demonstrated instructions
Working Conditions
- Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Non-prime season: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Prime season: Includes weekends, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a standard office environment and perform routine fieldwork across 35,000 acres
