Faculty members are responsible to GRCC and to each other for the successful completion of departmental work as well as work associated with the School of Business and Industry and GRCC as a whole. In addition to the major position responsibilities, it is expected that faculty demonstrate outstanding communications skills, collaborate effectively, use personal initiative to overcome obstacles, and work efficiently to meet deadlines. Compensation: Bachelor's Degree $62,155 - $69,054 or Master's Degree $67,130, - $74,581. Final offers will be based on full-time college-level teaching and/or industry experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Serve as a content expert in the areas of electronics / electricity, with an emphasis on control systems, industrial automation and mechatronics.
• Incorporate new technologies and methods for enhanced teaching and learning into instructional methods.
• Effectively assess, document, and advise students regarding their academic performance.
• Demonstrate a commitment to learning centered environment in the classroom.
• Maintain/grow professional knowledge and expertise in the field and share those skills with faculty and administration.
• Participate in the development and evaluation of new curricula related to electronics and electricity, particularly in the area of controls and mechatronics.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the Program and the College by participating in academic program review; curriculum development, evaluation and revision; committee membership; department and advisory committee meetings.
• Teach assigned classes in the https://www.grcc.edu/schools-departments/applied-technology.
• Assist the Department Head in the preparation of reports and other required documents.
• Contribute to program accreditation processes and reports as determined by the Department Head.
• Assist in marketing and promoting of departmental and college programs and events.
• Promote the department by creating partnerships with businesses and schools.
• Lead, advise and support adjunct faculty to ensure consistent standards and instructional practices within each course.
• Adhere to college processes, policies and contractual obligations
• Support the College's Strategic Plan through departmental and college action projects as appropriate.
• Support the department and the college through other work normally expected of GRCC faculty members.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Credentials
• Bachelors of Science in Engineering or a related field is required.
• Master's Degree in related field preferred.
Work Experience
• A minimum of two years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuits, control systems and industrial automation is required.
• Experience with the safe operation of electronic/electrical equipment and tools is required.
• Experience with Rockwell PLC's, Fanuc Robots, National Electric Code, Digital/Analog Electronics and/or Microcontrollers is preferred.
• Experience with teaching or training adult learners preferred.
• Experience developing and/or modifying training materials preferred.
Skills
• Ability to design and maintain industrial automation. This includes control systems design, PLC programming, and experience with robotics.
• Possess excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and organization.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a variety of people.
• Ability to use fundamental electronic equipment and tools (power supplies, meters, oscilloscopes, motors, relays, etc.)
• Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Demands
• Ability to stand and lecture for multiple hours in a day.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to manipulate the creation and wiring of physical electronic and electrical systems.
• Vision correctable to 20/20.
