Job Details

Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair and continuous improvement functions on plant equipment and machinery with limited direction and guidance. Support manufacturing operations in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation. Safely, professionally and efficiently, complete machine repairs and rebuilds per documentation. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, and repair machinery and equipment with minimal supervision using safe techniques.
• Operate in response to requests by maintenance manager or support personnel and set priorities as required to maximize equipment uptime.
• Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve operational uptime and equipment life.  Recommend improvements and/or changes to PM systems/tasks when applicable.
• Follow designated work instructions as outline for specific functions. These include but are not limited to; PM work orders, utilizing eMaint CMMS system, continuous improvement tasks, new machine installation set-ups and changeovers, and repair/refurbish assignments. 
• Maintaining and repairing the building and assets both inside and outside the property.
• Document all work in eMaint and send end of shift reports.
• Maintain and secure work tools.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Perform back-up for assembly line.
• Provide on-the-job training to employees, as needed, for equipment.
• Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements are met.
• Trained in how to operate all plant equipment: Forklift & Aerial Lift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and management.
