General Summary:
Saginaw Public Schools teachers are responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to curriculum standards

• Develop and communicate clear learning objectives

• Create a welcoming and organized classroom environment

• Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles

• Integrate technology to support instruction

• Monitor and assess student performance and development

• Maintain accurate and timely records

• Manage classroom behavior effectively

• Apply appropriate interventions and disciplinary strategies

• Provide student counseling and encouragement

• Participate in extracurriculars and school events

• Attend parent-teacher conferences and staff meetings

• Stay current with instructional methods and subject area developments

• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate

• State certification and endorsements required for elementary education

• Relevant teaching experience
