Vineyards, Orchards, and Hop Yards (13 Positions)
Farmworkers are needed to assist with a variety of tasks involving vineyards, orchards, and hop yards. Duties include general farm and field maintenance, weeding, shoveling, hoeing, mowing, hand fertilizing, thinning, pruning, grafting, tying limbs, and performing vineyard canopy management. Workers will string lines for hop growth, plant fruit trees, vineyard rows, and hop yards, and complete repairs to farm buildings and trellis systems. Additional responsibilities include harvest preparation such as spreading liners in bins, washing and sanitizing harvest bins, repairing bins, and hand-harvesting apples, grapes, and hops according to quality standards. Workers will also receive and unload fruit, move fruit within the facility, and complete cleanup tasks such as removing old trees or vines, picking up debris, maintaining bird netting and deer fencing, and performing end-of-season field cleanup. The job requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs., perform repetitive movements, bend, stoop, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Applicants must have at least 2 months of verifiable experience in commercial agriculture within the last three years.

Work schedule: Generally, 35 hours per week, Monday through Saturday. Additional hours may be offered but are not required.

H-2A workers who use employer-provided housing at no cost will be offered a wage rate of $13.73 per hour, based on the 2026 State minimum wage of Michigan.
