Volt is immediately hiring a Material Handler - in Sandusky, MI 48471 As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for: Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler/Warehouse Associate to join our team. The role involves handling materials, preparing orders, and ensuring accurate shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: * Load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site. * Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved. * Prepare customer orders by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately. * Ensure all outgoing shipments contain correct items and meet quality standards. * Verify incoming deliveries against company purchase orders for accuracy. * Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. * Operate material handling equipment (if certified) and adhere to safety protocols. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Prior experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or logistics is a plus. * Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Basic knowledge of inventory systems and shipping procedures.
