Facilities Technician

We are looking for a Facilities Technician to join Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis, the global leader in Raman spectroscopy, tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS), and quenched fluorescence (QF) instrumentation for laboratory, process, and manufacturing environments. Our laser-based analyzer systems perform high-performance chemical composition and concentration measurement of all phases of matter in any installation environment.
What is the role about?
The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving company buildings and surrounding property to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient work environment. This role involves hands-on maintenance, coordination with contractors, and implementation of facility upgrades.
Which essential functions will you perform?
Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, roof repairs, floor and ceiling tile replacements, and furniture repairs.
Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and instructions to plan and execute maintenance assignments.
Move and arrange furniture and equipment, including staging rooms for company trainings and events.
Assist with the assembly and installation of mechanical equipment such as production machinery and environmental control systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment throughout the facility.
Conduct preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Respond to mechanical service calls and perform in-house repairs across the facility and grounds, as qualified.
Supervise outside contractors to ensure safety and quality standards are met during facility-related projects.
Utilize available resources and requisition necessary parts, tools, and supplies to maintain and enhance company infrastructure.
Design and implement facility improvements, evaluating both technical functionality and cost to maximize value.
Maintain and upgrade company-developed systems, incorporating product improvements with consideration for cost and technical feasibility.
Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and documentation accurately and timely.
May work with environmental equipment and assist in preparing hazardous waste for proper disposal.

What qualifications are needed?
High school diploma.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience specifically related to job requirements.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to plan and execute maintenance tasks.
Able to understand and follow company procedures, manufacturing process instructions, work orders, reports, and safety documentation.
Capable of completing company forms and communicating effectively through written documentation.
Demonstrates basic mathematical skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and maintenance-related tasks.
