Job Summary
The CNC Turning Machine Operator is responsible for producing precision machined parts using Tsugami CNC turning machines. This position maintains strict quality and safety standards while performing basic machine maintenance and documenting work activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes to produce machined parts from bar stock
- Load machines with bar stock
- Perform tool changes, touch-offs, and reset tool count registers
- Monitor tooling wear and adjust offsets as needed
- Inspect parts according to quality requirements and control plans
- Enter all production and quality data into the online business system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Complete basic preventive maintenance
- Document actions and communicate issues during shift changes
- Attend required meetings and training
- Run multiple similar machines as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- CNC experience required
- Must have the ability and desire to learn technical skills
- Strong math and measuring skills (must pass assessment)
- Attention to detail and ability to follow standardized work processes
- Reliable attendance and ability to work 12-hour shifts
