Evaluation Hire
Location: Wixom
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $22.00-$34.00/hour
Position Overview
Repair and maintain heavy-duty trucks, medium-heavy trailers, and truck-mounted cranes. This shop is primarily a crane repair
center. Duties include preventive maintenance, oil changes, annual certifications, DOT inspections, and complete truck repairs
(excluding body work).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Repair and maintenance of heavy trucks, trailers, and cranes
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services
• Conduct DOT inspections and annual certifications
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs from start to finish
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Ask questions and seek support when needed
Expected Performance
• Strong attendance and punctuality
• Consistent task completion
• Increased independence after 30 days
Tools & Equipment
• Must bring own hand tools and everyday tools
• Shop provides heavy equipment (tire guns, jacks, jack stands)
Work Environment
• Busy, old-school truck and crane shop
• Physical demands: climbing onto trucks, lifting up to 40 lbs, ladder use, working under trucks on a creeper
Travel Requirements
• Minimal at start
• Occasional road service using company service truck
