JOB DESCRIPTION:
Monroe County Community College’s Applied Science and Engineering Technology division has a full-time Welding Manufacturing Lab Technician position open. This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and safety of the welding and machine labs. This includes ensuring that all related equipment is in proper working condition, assisting with lab setup, supporting faculty instruction, and maintaining tools and materials. The technician also provides secondary support to other ASET instructional labs, including construction, automotive, electronics, and mechanical systems labs, as directed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required qualifications include an Associate’s degree or journeyman card in welding or machining, a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in welding, machining, or metal fabrication, forklift license or ability to acquire certification, experience working in a lab, instructional, or industrial setting preferred.
