A day in the life. MMA's internship is a comprehensive program that will provide you with real world business, risk management, and insurance experience. Learn to apply the concepts you've learned in the classroom through project work and client interaction. You'll also develop professional skills that will serve you for the rest of your career. Marsh McLennan Agency's internship program gives you the chance to find your interest and place in the insurance industry. MMA's goal is to provide insight into all areas of the insurance industry and act as a springboard into full-time careers in the role you desire. Our internship will focus on the tools needed to build a solid foundation in Employee Health & Benefits and Business Insurance. Each intern selected for the program will gain exposure in Client Management, Risk Management, and Benefits Analysis as well as our agency and industry overall. Elements of the internship program include lunch & learn sessions, analyzing client information, researching for ad-hoc projects, carrier field trips, and a final group presentation delivered to the senior leadership team. This is an in-person internship based out of our Troy, MI and Livonia, MI offices. * Real Experience - No coffee fetching for you. You'll receive real industry training along with relevant work experience. * Learning Opportunities - We host a series of webinars that introduce you to our industry and our organization. They're designed to set you up for success as an emerging professional, and to help you better understand MMA and our industry. * Build Connections - You'll grow your network by working closely with your manager, mentor, and other interns. * Develop Career Skillsets - Our interns will work directly with our multiple teams, learning the basics of our world-class insurance programs while supporting the actual clients. * Cultivate Industry Relationships - We provide an opportunity to meet with a wide variety of our industry partners allowing you to grow your * Paid Internships - All work and no pay? We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills: * Cumulative GPA 3.0 minimum. * High School Diploma or equivalent is required. * Students entering their senior year toward a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree preferred. * Majors in Risk and Insurance Management, Finance OR displaying a keen interest in learning insurance, risk management, or financial consulting fields. * Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. * Applied knowledge in the areas of communication, interpersonal relationship management, versatility and creativity. * Resolution and solution-oriented. * Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
