Senior Platform Cybersecurity Engineer Sterling Heights, MI Contract Position $73.79-$85.70/Hour Active Secret Clearance Required to Start Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. Responsibilities: * Lead cyber integration across C5ISR systems for ground combat platforms, supporting design, compliance, and cross-functional execution. * Translate platform-level cyber requirements into system architecture, interface allocations, and SWaP-CRaM constraints (Space, Weight, Power, Cooling, Reliability, Maintenance). * Guide execution of cyber best practices and support a culture of cybersecurity across engineering teams. * Manage system requirements, system specification compliance, and interface coordination across IPTs. * Support or lead trade studies, structured decisions, and threat analyses, weighing technical and operational constraints. * Evaluate emerging cyber technologies for integration into GDLS platforms. * Lead technical teams in Cyber Tabletop Exercises (CTTX), Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA), and cyber design reviews. * Oversee development of System Security Plans (SSP), POA&Ms, and other RMF/NIST-compliant documentation (e.g., SP 800-53, 800-37). * Manage cyber verification plans and testing activities across development, production, and field environments. * Participate in root cause/corrective action (RCCA) investigations and lead incident/test resolution. * Review and ensure technical accuracy of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs). * Travel up to 15%, primarily domestic. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent (cyber certifications and management credentials may be considered). * 10+ years of experience in engineering, cybersecurity, or military/defense programs. * Experience with embedded system security, cyber-physical system design, and vehicle-level cybersecurity integration. * Experience with CAMEO Systems Modeler and SysML (or equivalent modeling tools). * Proficiency with cyber frameworks: NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-37, RMF, and DoD standards. * Experience with TARA, CTTX, and cyber resilience strategies. * Background in military vehicle systems, electronic hardware, or LRU troubleshooting. * Experience flowing customer-level requirements down into implementable system designs. * Familiarity with cyber warfare concepts (offensive and defensive). * Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage multiple technical workstreams. * Must pass ASR (Anthropometric Size Restriction) to access military vehicles and confined spaces. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with system-level cyber risk management in embedded systems. * Familiarity with both software and hardware system security concepts. * Demonstrated understanding of system-level trade-offs including cost, weight, power, and performance. * Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Visio, Project, and engineering documentation tools.
