Job Title: Truck Driver / Warehouse Personnel

Job Summary
The Truck Driver / Warehouse Personnel at Ferndale Electric is responsible for safely delivering materials, tools, and equipment to job sites, supporting warehouse functions, and maintaining company vehicles and facilities. This role supports the operational efficiency of field teams through accurate and timely deliveries, while also contributing to warehouse organization, inventory readiness, and general facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
1. Delivery and Transportation
- Safely deliver materials, tools, and equipment to job sites as scheduled by the Warehouse Manager.
- Handle miscellaneous deliveries between vendors, the office, and job locations.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the appropriate department.
- Operate company vehicles in compliance with DOT and internal safety regulations.
2. Vehicle Maintenance and Appearance
- Perform basic upkeep of delivery trucks including regular washing, cleaning, and inspection.
- Report any maintenance issues or damage immediately to the Warehouse Manager or Mechanic.
- Assist with fueling, scheduling service, and ensuring inspection compliance.
3. Warehouse Support
- Assist with receiving and staging incoming materials and tools.
- Support tool and material preparation for job site deliveries.
- Help maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and yard.
4. Facility Maintenance
- Perform snow removal duties and assist with general building upkeep as directed.
- Support seasonal maintenance tasks and safety-related responsibilities on company grounds.
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid CDL or Chauffeur’s license preferred.
- Clean driving record acceptable to Ferndale Electric’s insurance carrier.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with safe loading, securing, and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Ability to follow delivery schedules and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to assist with physical tasks such as snow removal, cleaning, and lifting materials. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
