Position Title: Senior Software Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that meet customer needs. This role involves full-stack development and participation in the entire software development lifecycle—from architecture design to deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a user-centric mindset, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to understand use cases, pain points, and requirements, advocating for user-centric software solutions.
- Design, develop, and deliver robust software solutions using various tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies (e.g., Agile), and technologies.
- Evaluate software requirements to determine optimal technology stacks, integration methods, and deployment strategies.
- Develop high-level software architecture, including system structure, components, and interfaces.
- Work closely with product owners, designers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive development.
- Define and implement software testing strategies, policies, and processes aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Continuously improve application performance and development efficiency by integrating new technologies.
- Apply modern programming practices such as test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD).
- Implement security best practices, including data encryption and anonymization.
- Build intuitive, user-friendly, and interactive user interfaces.
- Develop and maintain backend services, including APIs and microservices using server-side languages.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to industry collaborations and innovation initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Java
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and full-stack development
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Microservices architecture
- End-to-end integration design and development
Required Experience:
- 10+ years in IT, with at least 8 years in software development
- Practical experience in two programming languages or advanced expertise in one
- Proven ability to guide and mentor teams
Preferred Experience:
- Leading end-to-end integrations using microservices in GCP
- Collaborating with architecture, IT teams, system integrators, and business stakeholders
- Translating functional requirements into technical specifications
- Creating and maintaining JIRA tickets, use cases, user stories, and other documentation
- Driving performance and security-focused development practices
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Additional Information:
- This is an onsite position, with potential to increase to 5 days per week (currently 4 days.)
