Position Summary(Basic Job Function)
This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.
Unit Position Summary
The A-CAPP Center at MSU is looking for a professional individual with experience in brand protection for fractional work within its Student Internship Program now until the beginning of December 2025 as a Brand Protection Student Engagement Professional. There may be an opportunity to extend work to the spring 2026 semester (January-April).
The BP Student Engagement Professional will serve as the primary resource for the undergraduate, graduate, and professional students' internship assignments either in a hybrid or remote environment. Specifically, the roles of this position are to facilitate small groups and individual meetings to discuss what they are learning and answer questions on:
- Courses in the Professional Certificate in Fundamentals of Brand Protection.
- Mentorship Program
- Research projects, if applicable.
- Takedown and Notice work
- Other content or career related topics in brand protection.
The position will work two days a week for approximately 8 hours total on Tuesdays (9am ET-1pm ET) and Thursdays (10am ET-2pm ET) until approximately December 5, 2025. If the position is extended, the total hours would remain the same, but the days of week are based on the students’ schedules and may be different.
Desired Qualifications
We are looking for an individual with at least a Bachelor's degree in field related to brand protection and at least one year experience in brand protection.
We will consider individuals with 5+ years experience in the field of brand protection in lieu of a Bachelor's degree in field related to brand protection.
