For more information, visit pettibone.com . The Position The Production Coordinator is responsible for performing tasks involved in the scheduling and production control of products. Including but not limited to; overseeing scheduling, managing release of orders to assembly floor, and coordinating the Parts Wave Releases. Participates in problem solving activities and contributes to quality improvements. Actively promotes, a work safe environment, teamwork atmosphere and supports team development, and support production areas as needed. Key Performance Areas Coordinate production flow and production schedule Release parts waves in a sequence that maximizes efficiency for the entire plant Establish means and methods to ensure product flow is smooth and promotes efficiency in assembly area Ensure deadlines are met, while adhering to company policies and procedures Train new hires on duties related to this role Problem solves production related issues, escalates to management level as needed Utilize D365 program and MS Office to keep accurate records and transact day to day production data Responsible for cleanliness of work area and the general housekeeping of the department Serve as back up for other lead personnel in department as needed Enforce a work safe culture by enforcing proper PPE requirements as well as other safety rules and regulations Other duties as assigned Job Requirements High School Diploma 5 years of production, manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred General computer knowledge High degree of diplomacy and the ability to deal with and influence persons in all types of positions required Solid & professional communication skills needed for frequent interaction with various personnel and high-profile customers Leadership mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit and positive - team player attitude Work with minimum supervision and possesses strong problem-solving skills Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Work hours are Monday thru Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or as the job requires. Occasional overtime is required. Some work on Fridays is required as needed. Work Environment While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to airborne particles and chemicals. The noise level is usually moderate. The employee is required to wear safety glasses, earplugs and safety shoes. Physical Requirements Frequent mental and visual attention where the flow is intermittent with intermittent checking. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
