Jessup Systems, a division of Koch Finishing Systems, is growing and looking at add Machine Builders to the team. Machine Builder fits and assembles components according to assembly blueprints, engineering memos, sketches and knowledge of machine construction to construct, rebuild and repair automated finishing systems using hand tools and power tools. Analyzes assembly blueprints and specifications and plans machine building operations. Essential Duties: * Verifies conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints using measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, gauges and micrometers * Lays out hole locations to drill and/or tap holes on parts for assembly. Aligns components for assembly manually or with hoist. Bolts, screws or welds parts together using hand tools and welding equipment. Install wiring and electrical components to specifications. * Removes high spots and smooths surfaces using chisels, scrapers, files and powered hand grinder. Verifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts using measuring instruments and test operations. Qualifications for Ideal Candidate: * Ability to work in manufacturing environment with exposure to painting, grinding, soldering and welding of metals. * Have experience with custom welding and industrial spray painting. * Knowledge of automated finishing systems as well as plumbing, fittings, electrical and plastic formings. * Able to run drill press, lathe, manual flame cutting equipment, Plasma arc machines, metal shaping machines, bending machines, MIG & Tig welding and operating Hi-Lo. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications and be able to examine welds to ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications. * Have good reading, writing, basic math and oral communication skills.
