Monitor and process responses for security events on a 24x7 basis. Plan and execute regular incident response and postmortem exercises, with a focus on crafting measurable benchmarks to show progress (or deficiencies requiring additional attention). Review and analyze cyber threats and provide SME support and training to junior level security analysts. Facilitate the development and tuning of Anti-Virus, Endpoint Detection & Response, Security Information and Event Management, and Data Loss Prevention rules to ensure high fidelity alerting. Communicate with management as the need arises: keep parties informed of incident progress and notify of impending changes or agreed outages. Conduct Intrusion Detection System monitoring and analysis, analyze network traffic, log analysis, prioritize, and differentiate between potential intrusion attempts and false alarms. Compose security alert notifications. Advise incident responders of steps to investigate and resolve computer security incidents. Actively perform detection, monitoring, analysis, and resolution of security incidents. Prioritize own work to provide a positive customer experience. Participate in security incident handling efforts in response to a detected incident. Maintain awareness of trends in security regulatory, technology, and operational requirements. Up to 20% domestic travel to unanticipated locations. Hybrid work schedule permitted. Salary range: $138,500-$183,800 per year.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or foreign equivalent), plus 5 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation.
