See what the power of commitment can do for you.\n \nJoin us as we strive to ensure a sustainable future for our communities and the world, we live in.\n \nBecome part of our global network of skilled engineers, scientists, auditors, planners, and environmental specialists, all working together to leave this world better than we found it.\n \nWorking with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:\n \nManager of multiple Front-Line Managers in the field of Environmental Health.\n \nResponsibilities\n \nHealth, Safety, and Environment (HSE)\n \n \n * Monitor and review performance against HSE KPIs and patterns of behavior; take action to improve performance and resolve noncompliance. \n * Promote a behavior-based safety culture and participate in continuous improvement, including occasional after-hours emergency response. \n * A commitment to safe work practices is expected from all team members. \nProject Management\n \n \n * Manage a portfolio of environmental investigation and remediation projects while reporting to senior colleagues. \n * Provide technical project management and direction, ensuring projects are delivered safely, within scope, schedule, and budget. \n * Lead proposal development and contract negotiation to win targeted pursuits that leverage GHD's capabilities and value proposition. \n * Proven experience managing multiple projects and delivering high-quality results is required. \nClient & Customer Management (External)\n \n \n * Maintain high external profile through client engagement, industry membership, and continual networking. \n * Support key client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and effective communication of technical information. \n * Assist senior colleagues in managing important client relationships and oversee relationships with transactional clients. \nOrganizational & Personal Capability Building\n \n \n * Act as a subject matter expert in environmental investigations and remediation, mentoring high-functioning teams. \n * Maintain external accreditations and stay current on U.S. EPA and state environmental regulations (with emphasis on Michigan), as well as industry best practices. \n * Provide informal training or coaching to colleagues to build organizational capability. \n * Participate in communities of practice to share expertise and develop innovative approaches. \nCommunity of Practice Management\n \n \n * Engage in active participation to develop personal expertise and promote knowledge-sharing within the team. \nAnalysis of "As Is" and "To Be" / Solutions Analysis\n \n \n * Apply complex problem-solving skills to environmental investigations and remediation strategies. \n * Identify and evaluate technical and regulatory solutions to meet client compliance needs. \n * Conduct hydrogeologic assessment and site characterization for soil, soil vapor, indoor air, and groundwater. \nEnvironmental Risk Management & Environmental Impact Assessment\n \n \n * Oversee environmental risk management processes to minimize detrimental impacts. \n * Coordinate elements of environmental impact assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. \nRequest for Bid Solicitation/Proposal/Tender Response\n \n \n * Gather information and resources, draft proposals, and fulfill all requirements to maximize success in bid solicitations, RFPs, and tenders. \nEducation\n \n \n * Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in Applied Science (Engineering, Geology, or Science) \n * Maintain professional designations or licenses (Engineer, Geologist, etc.) where applicable \n * OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification \n * Valid driver's license \nExperience\n \n \n * Minimum 15 years of experience in contaminated site investigation and remediation \n * Experience leading and mentoring teams specializing in data analysis and remediation of contaminated sites \n * Proven experience preparing regulatory work plans and reports for investigation, remediation, and closure \n * Proven project and client management skills, including supervising and directing people and resources to achieve results \n#LI-JS1\n \nAs a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
