Tribal Court Administrator - 1 regular, full time position to manage and operate the tribal court in the following areas of court administration:

• court office management, case management, financial and grant management, human resource management.
• community relations, court safety, court building management, court performance and court advancement.
• The court administrator may be responsible for performing other related job duties.
• Court Administration & Operations; Staff Supervision & Development.
• Policy, Planning & Compliance; Budgeting & Financial Management.
• Community Engagement & Support; Technology & Information Management and Judicial Support.
• Performs duties of Associate Magistrate in the absence of the Magistrate, performs duties of court clerk including scheduling, recording/participating in court proceedings, enter/track court data, provide general clerical support including filing, record maintenance and transcript preparation.

QUALIFICATIONS-

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or Legal Studies (Masters Preferred) or a Juris Doctorate. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a supervisor in court administration or the practice of law.
• Must have 2 years documented experience in grant management.
• Knowledge of generally accepted office practices, of tribal sovereignty, tribal law and the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) preferred, strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, proficiency in case management systems and office software, ability to work with diverse populations and maintain cultural sensitivity. 
• Must be able to carry out assigned projects to their completion, maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the general public, and attend training for court clerk certification; must be able to be bonded in the amount of $5,000 as an authorized collector of fines and other costs.
• Must be able to pass a CHILD CARE STANDARD background check and post offer drug test.
